John D. Temte co-founded the Jackson Hole Technology Partnership with then Wyoming Governor Matt Mead and Jack Selby and is WYO VC General Fund’s Managing Partner and co-chairs the Investment Committee.
John has launched numerous technology-enabled businesses, exiting one before the age of 26 and has been credited, in part, for pioneering the online group-buying model now used across the web. John has worked as an angel investor (invested in Prime Medicine which went public on 10-19-22), VC and as a compensated advisor to technology start ups for over a decade. John has been involved with notable companies such as Lunavi, Affirm, SentiLink, Newpath Partners, Founders Fund, Microsoft, Charter, AT&T and many more.
Prior to his entrepreneurial and finance experience, John worked in professional sports in the NFL and NBA. John served on the Wyoming Business Alliance Steering Committee and Chairs the Jackson Hole Technology Partnership and the annual Wyoming Global Technology Summit. John was appointed by former Wyoming Governor Mead to his Economic Advisory Council (ENDOW) in 2017 and chaired the energy and tech infrastructure committees. Securing $25mm to fund last mile broadband in Wyoming.
John is a Wyoming native and earned a B.S. in Business Management from California State University, Chico where he played varsity basketball.
